!. The dreamy score that winds throughout this uninhibited film, set against somber imagery that evokes nostalgic despair, is a joy to watch.

Three women struggle to navigate their lonely lives in the city as the camera follows them in public places and into their private lives

I was more charmed by the makers’ attention to detail in carving out a Mumbai that defies popular image and instead shows you its twisted nature. I was able to relate to the characters, having lived in Mumbai for decades, but the film gets a bit muddled towards the end, and you could blame me for losing track.

Overall, it’s a good experience thanks to the soundtrack and good use of text design (especially the red font).
